=== Vsebinski opis projekta ===
Namen projekta je doseči preboj v obstoječih metodah za čiščenje voda, in sicer inaktivacijo virusov na inovativen, učinkovit in okolju prijazen način z združevanjem dveh novih in obetavnih načinov obdelave: kavitacije in plazme. Za oceno uporabnosti obeh metod obdelave za dekontaminacijo vode, bomo v prvi fazi ločeno raziskali vpliv (integriteta, infektivnost) obeh metod na izbrane rastlinske in človeške viruse ali njihove nadomestke. Z namenom povečanja učinkovitosti eliminacije virusov, bomo v drugi fazi raziskali sinergijske učinke plinske plazme in hidrodinamične. Z napravo, ki bo izkoriščala sinergijske učinke obeh tehnik, pričakujemo, da bomo dosegli večjo učinkovitost dekontaminacije in posledično krajši čas obdelave, kar vodi do nižje porabe energije brez dodatne kemične dekontaminacije.
