> || Boštjan Zalar is the director of Jožef Stefan Institute, the largest public research institute in Slovenia. He holds a Ph.D. degree in physical sciences from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. His main research tool is nuclear magnetic resonance, applied to solid and soft materials, among them disordered ferroelectrics and liquid crystal elastomers. In addition to studying atomic-level processes and dynamics, leading to spontaneous order, he is also involved in developing automated signal acquisition equipment. He is also a full professor at the J. Stefan International Postgraduate School in Ljubljana.||
