Smernice trajnostnega delovanja organizacije
Na Inštitutu “Jožef Stefan” sledimo načelom trajnostnega razvoja. Zaposlene spobujamo k upoštevanju smernic za trajnostnostni razvoj. Trajnostni razvoj pomeni izkoreninjenje revščine, zmanjšanje neenakosti in spodbujanje trajnostnega upravljanja naravnih virov in ekosistemov ter trajnostne, vključujoče in pravične gospodarske rasti. Zaposlene spodbujamo k razvoju ter širjenju znanja s področja trajnosti in krepitvi razumevanja trajnostne preobrazbe družbe. Aktivno prispevamo k doseganju ciljev trajnostnega razvoja:
- Trajnost v jedru našega delovanja: Podpiramo raziskovalne projekte, ki prispevajo k čistejšemu okolju, socialni vključenosti in drugim trajnostnim ciljem.
- Optimizacija virov: Zmanjšujemo porabo energije in papirja, spodbujamo recikliranje in racionalno uporabo materialov.
- Nakup trajnostnih izdelkov: Pri nakupu opreme in materialov spodbujamo trajnostne rešitvam.
- Sodelovanje in ozaveščanje: Spodbujanje dialoga o izzivih, povezanih s trajnostnim razvojem
Guidelines for sustainable development of the organization
At the Jožef Stefan Institute, we follow the principles of sustainable development. We encourage employees to embrace the guidelines for sustainable development.
Sustainable development is about eradicating poverty, reducing inequalities and promoting sustainable management of natural resources and ecosystems as well as sustainable, inclusive and equitable economic growth. In a nutshell, it is development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is crucial to harmonize three core elements to achieve sustainable development: economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection. These elements are inter-connected and all are essential for the well-being of individuals and societies. World leaders have committed themselves to this path when they adopted the Sustainable Development Goals at an historic UN Summit in 2015. - Sustainability at the core of our operations: We support research projects that contribute to a cleaner environment, social inclusion and other sustainable goals.
- Resource optimization: We reduce energy and paper consumption, promote recycling and the rational use of materials.
- Sustainable events: We encourage organization of environmentally friendly events and promote sustainable practices.
- Digitalization: We transfer as many business processes as possible to the digital environment, thereby reducing the need for physical documents and business trips.
- Shared use: We encourage the sharing of equipment and premises, thus reducing our environmental footprint.
- Purchasing sustainable products: We encourage sustainable solutions when purchasing equipment and materials.
- Collaboration and awareness: Promoting dialogue on challenges related to sustainable development
